Artist: NIIBOIJEOSUUNVEILING THE ARTISTIC JOURNEY ~ In my search for dynamism in terms of creativity, my path as an IMPRESSIONIST has led me to the discovery of the other self of “me” which is being able to accept the unknown into my reality. As a landscape artist, the understanding of what my brushstrokes depict reflects my way of “motion thinking” in absorbance from which/whatever reality they are from. EMBRACING ARTISTIC INFLUENCE ~ In a discussion, a friend once drew parallels between my mountainous landscapes and the distinguished artist Bob Coronato, renowned for his Western wildlife and landscape masterpieces with cowboy hats atop majestic peaks. This revelation has sparked my latest endeavor — the creation of expansive canvases, skillfully interweaving unexpected elements such as spectacles into the fabric of my artistic exploration. It stands as a revelation in my ongoing quest for dynamism.
IMMERSING IN ARTISTIC INQUIRY ~ Engaging in profound introspection, I posed significant questions: How do spectacles harmonize with the transcendental nature of landscape art? Through meticulous contemplation, I refined these optical elements, casting my gaze upon the resplendent canvas before me. The revelation struck — an intricate connection between spectacles and landscape painting, serving as conduits for capturing the awe and beauty of our world.
ENCHANTING AESTHETICS ~ Spectacles, beyond their utilitarian purpose, become a captivating motif seamlessly intertwining with landscape paintings, symbolizing elegance, intelligence, and mystery. In the realm of Impressionism, they signify modernity and urbanity. I recollect a masterpiece by Renoir portraying a woman with delicate glasses, where the interplay of light on lenses contrasts with the softness of her visage.
ILLUMINATING ARTISTIC TECHNIQUE ~ Beyond aesthetic allure, spectacles emerge as tools for artists, enhancing their vision and color perception. Tinted lenses, recognized as 'colour-seeing' or 'colour-balancing' spectacles, intensify hues, enriching the artist's experience amidst nature's canvas. This technique, embraced by a fellow artist, breathes vibrancy into greens, serenity into blues, and radiance into yellows.
CONCLUDING ARTISTIC EXPRESSION ~ While the overt connection between spectacles and landscape painting remains subtle, it stands as a captivating choice for artists such as myself. Spectacles become a focal point, a symbol, or a means to evoke mood. In this exploration, I, as the artist (Niiboijeosu), embrace the age-old wisdom that 'there is nothing new under the sun.' The use of spectacles in landscape painting transcends necessity; it becomes a deliberate and inventive choice, adding layers of meaning and expression to my art.
